🎯 Try Archery in Somerset: Final Have a Go Day at West Somerset Company of Archers on 23 August

Want to Learn Archery in Somerset? Join Our Have a Go Day on 23 August 2026

If you've ever wanted to try archery in Somerset, there's still time to take aim and discover this exciting sport at the West Somerset Company of Archers' final Have a Go Day of the summer.

The club has already welcomed dozens of aspiring archers at two popular local events – the Porlock Country Fair and the Brompton Regis Horse Show and Gymkhana. Visitors of all ages enjoyed the opportunity to shoot arrows under the guidance of experienced club members, with many trying archery for the very first time.

From young people looking for a new hobby to adults wanting to experience the thrill of hitting the target, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Throughout both events, participants discovered that archery is a sport that combines skill, concentration and fun, regardless of age or previous experience.

For anyone who missed these events, the good news is that there is one final opportunity to have a go before the club's next beginners' course begins.
